DEVOURED LAST CHECKED 12 Aug 2026
FTMO
The industry default. The consistency rule is the price of admission.
The default answer to 'which prop firm?' for a decade. The reputation is earned, transparent rules, no news-trading ban, payouts that mostly land. The consistency rule (added 2023) is the real price of admission: one trading day can't account for more than 30% of your profit when you request a payout.
The Verdict
MONSTER APPROVEDStrong across the board. We would buy this ourselves, after reading the catch.
The boring, reliable choice. Buy it when a discount is live and read the consistency rule first.
WHAT'S GOOD
- Ten years of continuous operation, the longest credible track record in the space
- No news-trading restriction; weekend and overnight holding allowed
- cTrader alongside MT4/MT5, rare and welcome
- Profit split scales from 80/20 to 90/10
- Free trial to test the rules before paying
- Rules page is unusually clear and kept current
WHAT'S NOT
- Consistency rule adds real friction at payout time
- Value weakens when no discount code is active
- Verification and payout requests can feel process-heavy
- No futures offering, forex/CFD only
The Catch
read before you payThe 30% consistency rule
Since 2023, when you request a payout, no single trading day may account for more than 30% of your total profit. A monster day that earns 40% of your profit will delay or reduce that payout. It doesn't block passing the challenge, it affects cashing out.
Daily loss is calculated end-of-day
The 5% daily loss limit is checked at end of day, not intraday. That's friendlier than intraday trailing, but it means an intraday drawdown that recovers by close doesn't count, and one that closes down 5%+ on the day does. Know which you're trading.
Resets are paid
Fail a phase and a reset costs money. Free trials exist, but the trial itself has a profit target and a time window. Nothing here is hidden; it just isn't free to be wrong twice.

What Changed?
rule-change logWould We Buy It?
the straight answerYes, for most traders. It's the boring, reliable choice: a decade of track record, no news ban, clear rules. Buy when a discount code is live, and read the consistency rule before you trade, not after.
